Shrimad Bhagavatam and the Bhagavata Purana are the exact same text. While "Bhagavata Purana" is its formal title among the 18 Mahapuranas, "Shrimad Bhagavatam" is a more devotional and honorific name. This Purana focuses primarily on Bhakti (extreme devotion) to Lord Vishnu, specifically in his form as Lord Krishna. Unlike other Puranas that cover a broad range of deities, this text is devoted entirely to Lord Vishnu.
