Brahma Vaivarta Purana

The Brahmavaivarta Purana  is one of the 18 Mahapuranas of Hinduism.

To understand the name Brahmavaivarta, it helps to break the Sanskrit word into two parts: Brahm and Vaivarta.

  • Brahm: This refers to Brahm, the Superior God (not just the four-faced creator god, but the "Bigger Divine Energy") i.e. Kaal.
  • Vaivarta: This means "transformation," "evolution," or "unfolding."

The writer of the Brahma Vaivarta Purana is the sage Veda Vyasa (also known as Krishna Dvaipayana)
